Members of the West and East Midlands Branch of The Welding Institute are invited to attend this technical talk.

Overview: This talk will illustrate how the speaker surmounted a number of challenges to Project StartUp! Through his experience, Dennis will illustrate the challenges faced by engineers at a high performance engineering company engaged in manufacturing .components for high performance motor sport and aerospace based in the East Midlands. Their challenge was to replace the 50 year old high pressure hydraulic pipework system as part of an overall upgrade the system. The greatest challenge was to source a replacement flange and fitting it to the main high pressure hydraulic valve body, which in turn would be welded to the new pipework NDE- Testing was also required before the work could be commissioned in readiness for Project StartUp
