This is a Teesside Branch event, specifically for members of the Teesside and Northumbria branches. Other members may be able to attend should spaces become available.

Overview: This talk will focus on emerging technology of wearable inspection / remote visual glasses in particular Microsoft Hololens 2 and potential uses within in inspection.

Responsive are a huge investor in emerging technologies and would like your help and input to find better uses of such technology to help advance inspection and testing in a world where remote is key to continued uninterrupted working. Lee will discuss how his team have adapted the use of Microsoft HoloLens to help undertake remote inspections for clients as far away as the USA when flights where grounded in 2020 and the plans to take the technology forward.

Speaker: Lee Grears – Managing Director, Responsive Ltd

Speaker Biography: Lee Grears is the managing director of Responsive Ltd. He leads a team of 17 professionals with a range of inspection and testing experience and qualifications in Cumbria, The North East and Manchester.

Qualifying as a welding inspector in 2008 for BAE Systems Submarine Solutions, Lee was previously a welder on the Astute class, he quickly progressed into additional testing technologies such as ultrasonics, magnetic particle, radiography and dye penetrant before leaving BAE to head for Tata Steel and subsequently Sellafield and Cavendish Nuclear whilst founding Responsive in 2015.
