This is a London Branch event organised and hosted by the London Branch Committee on behalf of Branch members. Other members are very welcome to register for this talk. Non-Members are also welcome to join us.

Overview:  Luke Keane will be presenting the significance of purging in terms of welding: why we purge, how to purge and the benefits of doing this correctly.

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Ltd have been in business for over 45 years and are inventors, designers and manufacturers of weld purging equipment. Luke has been with HFC for 7 years and is Technical Sales Manager with responsibility for 45 worldwide distributors. He's been heavily involved in product development and in the improvement of inflatable purging systems and weld purge monitors. He has been closely involved with the development of the Weld Trailing Shield and with the development of a unique blocking and purging system for the welding of duplex sump boxes, working closely with a client in the nuclear industry.

Speaker: Luke Keane (Technical Sales Director, Huntingdon Fusion)

Speaker Biography: Luke joined the company 7 years ago in a sales role but quickly progressed to become Technical Sales Manager looking after our 45 Worldwide Distributors.  He has also been heavily involved in product development, taking feedback directly from site in order to improve our inflatable purging systems and weld purge monitors.

More recently we have re-designed our Weld Trailing Shield and Luke played a pivotal role in that development.  He has also been working very closely with a nuclear client involved with HPC and designed a unique blocking and purging system for the welding of duplex sump boxes.
