This is a Sheffield Branch event organised and run by the Sheffield Branch Committee on behalf of Sheffield Branch members. Other members and non-members are very welcome to register for this talk. 

Overview: The presentation will be an overview of the operations at the Doncaster works with particularly focus on the High Speed Train door refurbishment programme which is extending the life of these vehicles to keep pace with the increasing capacity demands of the UK rail network.

Speaker: Chris Webster BEng MBA (Operations Director , Faiveley UK)

Speaker Biography: C

hris started his career in the Steel Industry, after graduating from Birmingham University with a metallurgical degree. He has held a variety of senior operational roles at the Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Stocksbridge Steel manufacturing sites over a 20+ year career. In 2016 he moved into the rail industry at the Doncaster site, which is the largest and most diverse rail refurbishment site in the UK.
