East Midlands Branch Technical Talk

This is an East Midlands Branch event organised and run by our East Midlands for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: EN 15085 is the core standard for welding of railway vehicles throughout Europe. Comprising of 5 parts, the standard was first published in 2007 and has not been revised / updated since that time. Over the past few years all parts of the standard have been the subject of extensive review by a European Working Group. As a result of this review, all parts of the standard have been extensively revised with new versions expected by the end of 2022. This event discusses the changes made to all parts and the challenges faced in updating a key industry standard.
