This tour and talk is a Southern Counties Branch event organised and run by the Southern Counties Branch for Branch members. Other members are also very welcome to join us.

Overview: This talk, given by our host, Jim Ballentine (Senior Special Techniques Engineer) will give an introduction to vacuum induction brazing. The talk will be preceded by a tour of the Ultras neutron flux detector manufacturing facility at Winfrith House.

The talk will be hybrid (online on Microsoft Teams and in person).

Spaces on the tour are limited (10) so book your place soon! Spaces will be allocated on a first come - first served basis.

Programme for the evening

18:15 – Onsite visitors to arrive meet/greet.

18:40 – Tour of Ultras neutron flux detector manufacturing facility.

19:25 – Light refreshments.

19:30 – Presentation  by Jim Ballantine.

20:15 – Meeting close.
