Eastern Counties Branch AGM and Technical Talk

This is an Eastern Counties Branch event organised and hosted by the Branch Committee on behalf of Branch members. Other Members and non-members are also welcome to join us.

Overview: Eastern Counties Branch meeting and AGM

Speaker: Kyriakos Flentzeris (Reliability Project Leader, TWI Ltd)

Speaker Biography: Kyriakos Flentzeris is qualified as a materials engineer (MEng), metallurgist (MMet) and International Welding Engineer (IWE). In addition, he is CSWIP certified in several NDE techniques, including UT and PAUT. He has a working experience from projects in several sectors, including infrastructure, offshore, nuclear, and oil and gas, with work scopes, mainly focused on NDE and inspections around welded products.

He is a reliability project leader within the NDE group of TWI. He provides engineering services in developing non-destructive evaluation techniques and inspection procedures. His primary areas of involvement include phased array systems, ultrasonic modelling and interpretation of NDT codes and standards.

This years AGM will held in person at 6:30pm at TWI in Cambridge and will be followed by the talk. Refreshments will be available from 6pm

The Annual General meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for Branch members to hear reports from the Committee on the achievements and work of the Branch over the year; to make plans for the year ahead; to review the accounts and to elect the Committee for the next year.

For 2023 the Branch will be holding a mixture of in-person and Zoom meetings. These are a convenient way of widening your technical knowledge, maintaining your essential CPD and interacting with a wide range of professionals in the welding industry. The committee is keen to welcome all Members to our meetings so that you can make the most of your membership.

Please note, only Branch Members can vote at the AGM.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Attending this event supports your professional development.  You can claim 2 CPD points per hour for this event.  As a member of the Welding Institute you can record your CPD activity online from your membership portal.
