72010 Hengist – a Steam Locomotive for the 21st Century

This is a Sheffield Branch event organised and run by our Sheffield Branch for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview: A presentation on the project to build a new steam locomotive for the 21st Century’. Showing the original locomotives in service in the 1950s, modern manufacturing methods to build it in today’s engineering environment and the project to date.
