This is a Southern Counties Branch event organised and run by our Southern Counties  Branch for  members of the Branch. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview:-  The presentation will offer an introduction to the basic principles of Additive Manufacturing with key focus on Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing. The major factors will Be presented in wire making and their effect on the WAAM process. Application Examples of the process will be presented with a discussion on the effect of mechanical properties offered by this process

Speaker Biography:- Stuart Thomas is the Technical Services Manager at Voestalpine Bohler where he has worked for over 20 years. The company pioneers innovative welding consumables with a product portfolio of over 2000 items for a worldwide market..
