This is an Australian Branch event organised by the newly formed Australian Branch Committe on behalf of our members in Australia. All members based in Australia are invited to join our meetings and technical talks.
Overview: Additive manufacturing is a technology disruptor. It is changing how we manufacture and construct items. It is disrupting many industries, and the maritime industry is no different. This presentation will begin by introducing additive manufacturing and its benefits. It moves on to how parts produced using additive manufacturing can be certified and accepted for use.

Speaker Biography: Adam Saxty works as the Lead Additive Manufacturing Technologist at Lloyd's Register (a global professional services company specializing in engineering and technology for the maritime industry). With over 20 years of experience, his background is in Welding Engineering, and he has worked previously for a pressure vessel industry and within shipbuilding.
