East Midlands Branch Technical Talk

This is an East Midlands Branch event organised and run by our East Midlands Branch for its members. Other members and non-members are welcome to join us.

Overview:  This presentation and demonstration will cover the capabilities, applications and return of investment of the Servo Robot WiKi-SCAN when used for weld inspection. The WiKi-SCAN is a hand-held portable laser scanning system capable of measuring unwelded and welded joints as well as detect discontinuities. Along with the ability to decide if a weld meets the set tolerances and provide a Go/No-Go output, the system also provides complete data about the weld including dimensions, profiles, pictures and any added comments tied to this inspection. Data is stored in a database and saved with the date and time as well as any description one decides to attach to the inspection record.
