About this webinar

Manufacturing organizations involved in welding fabrication of industrial products, metal structures, and pressure equipment are required to comply with ISO 3834—a quality standard focused on the fusion welding of metallic materials. As welding is considered a special process, it demands strict process control, since product quality and service reliability cannot be ensured by inspection and testing alone.

To meet these requirements, manufacturers must implement a dedicated welding quality system that complements the ISO 9000 series. Central to this system are Welding Coordinators, who play a vital role in managing the welding process—from contract review and design, to material selection, welding execution, testing, and final delivery.

However, there remains considerable uncertainty around the role of Welding Coordinators:

  • What exactly is expected of them?
  • What qualifications should they possess?
  • How can their competency be effectively assessed?

This webinar aims to explore these key questions by discussing the qualification requirements, competency assessment processes, and primary responsibilities of Welding Coordinators.

Who should attend?

This session is designed for welding engineers, quality managers, fabrication supervisors, and professionals involved in welding coordination, inspection, or compliance within manufacturing and fabrication sectors. It's especially relevant for those seeking to understand or implement ISO 3834 requirements effectively.
