West Midlands Branch In-person Annual General Meeting (2026) and KUKA Site Tour

The Welding Institute West Midlands Branch invite you to their AGM:

The AGM will take place on 10 March 2026 at 6.15pm at KUKA Systems UK Limited, Hereward Rise, Halesowen, B62 8AN, United Kingdom.  This will be an in-person event only.  The evening will also consist of a short introductory tour and site visit.

About the site visit:  

Attendees of the West Midlands Branch AGM will have the opportunity to visit KUKA Systems UK Ltd, a global leader in friction welding and the home of the renowned Thompson welding legacy. The visit will include a short introduction to KUKA’s capabilities - spanning rotary, linear and friction stir welding systems engineered in Birmingham, specialist subcontract welding services, and advanced nuclear‑grade robotic and automation solutions - followed by a guided tour of the facility. This is an excellent chance to see high‑integrity joining technologies in action, understand their industrial impact, and engage directly with experts shaping the future of automated manufacturing. Coffee and a buffet will be provided.
