Non-destructive testing (NDT) regroups a wide range of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of material, component or system without causing damage. Because NDT does not permanently alter the structure being inspected, it is a highly-valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research. Common NDT methods include ultrasonic, magnetic-particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, remote visual inspection (RVI) and eddy-current testing.
The NDT and Condition Monitoring group aims to provide information and discussions on both current and challenging topics for various industry sectors and applications. The group meets every year at different locations and covers topics such as structure assessments, development of tailored inspection techniques, validation of inspection process and training, for example.
Topics of interest
NDT, inspection and condition monitoring, oil and gas, nuclear, renewable energy, transport, validation, qualification, remote inspection, integrity.
