    The Welding, Joining and Manufacturing Conference and Exhibition (WeldJoinExpo 2026), hosted by TWI, is a flagship UK event bringing together experts, innovators, and professionals from across the welding and joining community on 7 July 2026 at TWI Cambridge.

    As part of the event, The Welding Institute is hosting a dedicated Professional Membership Workshop programme, focused on career progression, skills development, and the future of the profession - featuring expert-led sessions, peer discussions, and 1:1 membership guidance.       Joel Broddle is Head of Welding and Pipe Fitting at CATCH and has dedicated his career to developing the next generation of engineering talent. Working closely with employers across the UK, he combines industry knowledge with a passion for vocational education to deliver training that meets the needs of modern manufacturing. Joel is a strong advocate for apprenticeships, WorldSkills competitions and employer collaboration, believing that inspiring young people and building industry partnerships are key to securing the future of engineering. Through his leadership, he continues to champion excellence in welding education and skills development.
